Love

LOVE is an embrace of LIFE.

Walk straight up to LIFE. Say, LIFE, I LOVE YOU!

I LOVE your oceans, in all the moods: Crashing, wild, calm,

I LOVE you, LIFE, in all your seasons: In the glories of your woods and forests, rivers and lakes, big and small.

I LOVE all creatures, wild and civilized. Especially the human creatures I meet each day.

LOVE - real, honest LOVE - is looking honestly at your own behavior. Only your own behavior, nobody else's.

LOVE is appraising your own behavior, admitting to errors where honest appraisal reveals them to be, correcting them.

LOVE is self-respect,  first - first and foremost - from which all embraces follow.

  1. In Everyday Grace: Having Hope, Finding Forgiveness, and Making Miracles, Marianne Williamson says "we must be proactive in our love for it to change our lives." (in Part 1, Mystical Wands). Has anyone else been inspired by that chapter?

    1. 1) Having hope: See new book page iii "Ship of Hope." 2) Finding forgiveness: Automatically you do, having been a multifaceted personality. 3) Making miracles: Happens every day, through you. 4) Mystical wands: Confess I have not read the book. Have you a copy in your library?
